Bradshaw (Thur. Eve) , Oats Royd and Soil Hill

Bradshaw:

A short stroll along the local fields yesterday(Thur.) evening was quite rewarding with 2 or maybe 3 Little Owls quite mobile (for Little Owls).

Also a singing Whitethroat and a Red Legged Partridge and a few Lesser Black-backed Gulls overhead.

Oats Royd:

A short, late morning, visit to Oats Royd was very frustrating with lots of bird calls and song and birds darting for cover but few photo opportunities.

At least 4 Whitethroat and 4 Willow Warbler (probably more), 3 Linnet and a few other species.

Soil Hill:

'Usual' occupants on Soil Hill, late afternoon, included 1 Curlew, 6 Whitethroat, 4 Linnets, Willow Warbler, Skylarks and Meadow Pipits.

Moorhen with another young bird (hard to Id at the distance is probably a Mallard) on the NK pond.

A Mistle Thrush was on the large Taylor Lane midden and a few Lesser Black-backed Gulls were the only airborne sightings.
