Three hours this morning / early afternoon at Bingley, St. Ives.
Lots of park fun for Abi.
A long walk around some of the perimeter for all of us, an outside café break, some special duck food and a feeding session and a circuit of the coppice pond for me alone added up to something for everyone - and , not forgetting, an ice cream before home.
We very very fortunate with the weather, very windy and dull at home, windier with drizzle on our return but St. Ives was dry with some brightness.
A very pleasant drive over here as well and many, many Gulls in various fields at Denholme , Cullingworth and Bingley.
A large flock of Starling (over 650 - counted from a photo) on the wires, on both sides of the road, as we drove home through Denholme.
Birds:-
4 Goosander on the pond soon left though.
Tufted Duck asleep, Grey Wagtail.
Mute Swan, Moorhen, Black Headed Gull.
Long Tailed Tit, Sparrowhawk.
Plenty of birds contact calling, high in the conifers on our long walk.
There is a small bird feeding area opposite the pond.
Today it was frequented with 7 pretty fat squirrels.
