Local

A beautiful sunny day today with a touch of frost on the car this morning.

Unfortunately I was not firing on all cylinders today

We did get out this afternoon for a short walk along the Thornton to Queensbury cycle track.

Later I had a very short walk up the local fields and later still, I had a sit in the garden, sky watching.

Birds:-

Not a lot!

2 Jay and a Black Headed Gull were seen along the cycle track.

Local Fields:-

The Little Owl was high up the hillside, sat in the sun, on a wall and a few Gulls were way down in the fields, relaxing in the sun. They all looked like Common Gulls - but difficult  to be certain.

Herring Gull.

2 Meadow Pipit - they seem to be resident - perhaps they will stay through the winter.

Garden Sky Watch:

1 Buzzard and 1 Sparrowhawk over Oats Royd for definite.

2 Other Raptors, sparring, were too distant to ID.

Quite a few languid Wasps about in the garden.
