A dull overcast calm afternoon and quite warm late on.
We enjoyed a walk around most of the St. Ives estate perimeter after lunch and the bun and drink in the café there were very enjoyable too.
15:30 - 17:30.
Afterwards Sue dropped me at Ogden so I could enjoy a circuit of the water and a walk home.
Tough going around the circuit here.
The catch of the day was Goldcrest with a sizeable number flitting about, most were in the west bank bushes, difficult to see and difficult to photo. They were very mobile.
Another group were near the bread lobbing area.
A conservative estimate is 12 birds, but with Blue Tit and Great Tit in among it was not easy to accurately count, there could have been many more!
Other than the Goldcrest just the usual Gull species .
It was well dark as I panted up Ned Hill Lane. I did give 'The Track' a shot but saw nowt,
A few Herring Gulls were on the covered reservoir near Soil Hill main track.
Too dark to tackle Soil Hill (for me anyway).
Mistle Thrush over Bradshaw Lane.
