Shibden Park and Local Fields

Abi with us as usual today and  we had a late a.m. visit to a very busy Shibden Park.

To beat any potential queues we enjoyed an early snack in the café then some 'ducky feeding' followed by some 'in the park time' followed by some 'football'.

Later on I manged a short walk up the local fields.

This morning the Whooper Swan Grapevine was buzzing with several report of Whoopers moving not too distant from my Bradshaw perch.

I kept popping out to the garden to sky watch but no joy with the Whoopers the nearest I came to some Migrant birds was a small flock of Thrush. They were too big for Redwing and did not appear to fly like Mistle Thrush so I thought they could be Fieldfare.

Birds:-

Shibden Park:

Coot, Moorhen, Black Headed Gull, Canada Goose.

2 Heron > South, Calling Mistle Thrush.

1 Mute Swan.

Local Fields:

1 Little Owl.

1 Wren and a few Gulls was about all.

Garden Sky Watch:

Sparrowhawk.

Potentially - Fieldfare.

c50 Gulls in ones / twos mostly West late evening.

Elsewhere:

Peregrine Falcon.
