We had a visit to Sue's sisters at Soyland early afternoon and later I did a circuit of Ringstone.
Ringstone:
The wet stuff had gone on holiday but the wind was still playing outside.
The water was very quite with 41 Canada Geese and just a few Gulls.
A Kestrel was hunting over the 'plane' field and a large (ish) flock of Gulls were in the 'Automated Cannon' field.
The Kestrel soon left after being mobbed by Gulls.
I was hoping for some Snipe or a Swan sp. but nothing doing.
Local Fields:-
A short outing up the local fields late afternoon was another windy affair but it was good to see blue sky for a change.
Birds:-
Kestrel
1 Little Owl on a broken down wall.
2 further Little Owls calling from the bottom of the west side fields.
Mistle Thrush.
A closely knit small flock of Common and Black Headed Gulls.
Some Large Gulls over head.
I nearly stood on a Cock Pheasant - nice wake up call - wonder if I can get the call as a 'ping' on my Whatsapp app.
