All jabbed up and nowhere to go

An awful day today, constant drizzle blown along on a strong wind

I had my flu jab this morning so I was ready for the off.

I was trying  to decided where to go in the murk, Soil Hill was definitely out.

In the end I decided on the short run down to Lightcliffe to walk up and down Coach Road in the dark.

I struggled to eek owt out from the gloom with most of the birds coming from 2 longish stints looking at the berry trees near the top of Coach Road, hoping for a repeat Brambling but no joy there.

The birds that were here were mostly at the back of the trees and difficult to photograph so that's at least 3 Boo-Hoos!

My second stint was while I waited for the mass of school vehicles to depart.

Birds:

Mistle Thrush, 10 + Blackbirds, Robin, Chaffinch.

2 Redwing, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

c30 Goldfinch.

2 Canada Geese over head.

A cold snap on the way later in the week, should bring a big influx of winter thrushes, at the very least.

Hopefully some rarer Duck species, a few Snow Buntings and the odd Lapland Bunting might come along - I wish!
