It was a very breezy day today with showers now and then.
We had a short run out in the car to Oxenhope Railway Station for a walk along the stream to Haworth.
A café visit for a Toasted Teacake and the obligatory cake, was followed by a look at a few shops.
The return route was via the Church Yard and along the field tops to Bents Farm and down past the 'Railway Children's House' to cross the railway line.
Plenty to keep us occupied on the way to Haworth with Raptors about.
Sue spotted a Buzzard flying into a tree, while I was looking for the Kingfisher along the stream.
The Buzzard took some finding and I've lightened the photo a bit!
Nothing much on the return leg, the exception being a field full of Geese by Bents Farm - at least I think it was called Bents Farm.
A flock of 44 Lapwing were airborne SE of the Flappit Pub.
c220 Gulls in the fields, seen as we went home via Denholme.
A short cold, breezy walk up the local fields late afternoon brought with it the usual suspects.
The Little Owl hunkered down behind a wall (not its usual one!) took some finding.
Birds:-
Oxenhope -Howarth.
2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 1 Buzzard.
2 Heron.
Great Spotted Woodpecker called several times, remained unseen.
100' Geese - Canada and Greylags as far as I could tell.
(Some Greylag types with lots of white in their plumage - some with grey heads and some with white heads)
Local Fields:-
The Little Owl.
2 Mistle Thrush.
A few Gulls over head.
