Booster Jab this morning and then some shopping today for Christmas, we wanted to get some really expensive stuff bought, before the massive price drop on Black Friday, embarrassed us.
We also paid a visit to Heckmondwike along the way and on our way home, through Mirfield, Sue spotted a large Skien of Pink Footed Geese heading West towards the Brighouse area.
Late afternoon I just had time for a short walk up the local fields.
Quite bright out and about early on but very dark this aft.
Birds:-
Pink Footed Geese.
Local Fields:
Small Gulls - mostly Common Gulls.
Little Owl seen in 2 different places along the way, but I think it was just one bird.
2 Mistle Thrush.
Chaffinch.
18:00 A Tawny Owl is calling constantly from opposite our house.
Got the call on a video - not sure if this counts as a Calderdale 'tick' though?
Like the Tawny owl John.
