Luddenden Canal Walk

We enjoyed a short stroll along the canal from Tenterfields towards Mytholmroyd this afternoon.

Another mostly dry but cold outing and a big improvement on yesterday's constant sleet and snow showers at Bradshaw.

A few flooded fields and water was gushing into the canal and river from both valleys.

Just a Mallard or two seen in the flood(s).

Birds:

Pr. Goosander on the canal - soon left.

2 Cormorant overhead.

Moorhen.

Canada Geese.

c20 Goldfinch flock.

Plus the usual sp.

A peregrine was seen elsewhere and a Pr, Raven flew over our house as we were leaving to travel to Luddenden.

Looks like another wet and very windy week to come.

Trying to turn this into a Diver but failing miserably.

I'm getting quite adept at selfies.
