Thornton Cycle Track / Local Fields

A grey damp day - chilly.

Not a lot of birding time today.

We enjoyed an exercise walk from Thornton to the Queensbury Tunnel, along the cycle track, this morning.

It was good to bump into KM who was on a walk also.

After lunch I had a slow hour up the local fields.

Not a lot about, but good to get out in the fresh air.

Cycle Track:

A Magpie was feasting on a dead 'something '.

A Mistle Thrush and a few Blackbirds was about all.

Local Fields:

Little Owl.

A few Gulls overhead > W.

6 Blackbirds.

2 Mistle Thrush.

Wrens calling to one another from different field walls. One Wren had a short burst of song on offer.

Bullfinch.

Possible sighting of Peregrine Falcon on our journey to Aldi today.

2 Photos of (maybe)  Peregrine above.

Over Bradshaw Lane this aft.
