Ringstone - Thick Fog

We had a visit to Sue's sister in Soyland on a right grotty morning today.

After some coffee and chat we had a short diversion to Ringstone Reservoir above Barkisland, the fog thickened as we got there.

Plenty of Gulls in the surrounding fields as we headed up there.

I just had my camera with me today (no bins) but I doubt the bins would have helped much with my observations.

2 Canada Geese were just visible on the water and birds calls alerted me to 2 Oystercatcher that made a quick fly past.

My first local Oystercatcher of 2022.

I took a few random photos of the shoreline (yes there is a good bit of shoreline, even after all the recent rain) and tried to lighten them in Picasa.

Picasa does do a remarkable job of lightening the photos (but it does not do a lot for the colour)  - but if there ain't nowt there - there ain't nowt there.

Wow! I hear you say.

Lightened - Below:-

  1. Poor day today John. I did Cromwell earlier but it wasn't much better than up here. Just a few Siskin and that was as good as it got.
