Skipton / Bradshaw Fields

We enjoyed a trip out to do some shopping in Skipton this morning.

We did a quick lap of a flipping freezing Skipton woods (mostly in the shade).

Walking through Skipton, shopping, was quite pleasant - well the weather was quite pleasant - I don't get shopping.

The fields near Connonley were flooded but birds were very distant making use of the waterlogged areas.

We stopped the car next to the nearest water (still a long way off) to take a few photos.

Later this afternoon I had another cold walk along the local fields, through the farms and back.

Birds:-

Skipton Area:

Curlew, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Mute Swan, Grey Wagtail.

Canada Geese, Greylag Geese.

5 or so singing / calling Nuthatch.

Usual Woodland species but no Woodpecker seen or heard.

'Thousands' of Gulls throughout the many flooded fields seen in passing.

Local:

1 Little Owl.

4 Red Legged Partridge.

4 Stock Dove.

Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Bullfinch, Goldfinch.
