Bradshaw-Soil Hill Circular(a.m.)/Local Fields(p.m.)

Circular:

A bright, crisp sunny morning as I enjoyed a walk along the fields up to and around Soil Hill Top. Home via the quarry path and Taylor Lane.

Birds:-

Stock Dove, 2 Red Legged Partridge in the horse field.

Linnet, Meadow Pipit, 2 Pied Wagtail.

Blackbird! On Soil Hill. Top.

3 Curlew, Wren.

A large 'thin' Raptor with a fast wing beat flew over the house this afternoon, landing far off in Oats Royd conifers.

By the time I'd got its mug shot it was well distant alas.

Local:

After lunch I had a saunter through Crabtree Hall Farm to Ned Hill Road Bottom.

Colder now with intermittent snow flurries.

Birds:-

2 Chiffchaff (1st local ones).

Pr. Little Owl, 7 Meadow Pipit.

1 Red Legged Partridge on the north rough hillside.

Pheasant.

Tough going again - badly in need of some southerly winds.
