Brookfoot Ski Lake / Local Fields

We had to visit Heckmondwike this aft. Along the way we called at Brookfoot and I had a walk along the canal to check out the ski lake for an hour or so.

A damp squally outing.

Birds:-

20 Black Headed Gull.

2 Herring and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

2 Heron.

Mallard.

Canada Geese.

4 Coot.

4 Swallow. 

5 Cormorant. 

Blackcap singing opposite (east)  side from the metal railings. 

2 Little Grebe singing in the lagoon...one either end.

Chiffchaff. 

Not much else.

Local Fields:

Little Owl, Green Woodpecker calling.

Stock Doves and Woodpigeon.

Trick of the light.
