Ogden

I had a drive out to Ogden after lunch today.

A dull day weather wise.

Just one circuit of the water before heading home.

A  45 min sky watch from the door 'ole hoping for swift to pass by got me a few Gulls and a Swallow.

Although Sue saw a Swift from the kitchen window during breakfast this morning - I missed it!

Birds:-

Raven calling a few times from NW end.

Pr. Great Crested Grebe.

One GCG still carrying a stick.

Later a GCG made a very low, deep call "crawl" which was a new one for me.

Grey Wagtail briefly.

Great Spotted Woodpecker called from N end.

Blackcap, Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.

A bird knocking on a tree, had me leave the main path in search of it.

It was a Nuthatch that was in the very dark canopy and I thought maybe its excavating a nest hole, but it was removing bark.

Its efforts were rewarded with a juicy bug found under the bark.

Loads of shoreline but no waders alas.

A few other sp.
