Last Couple of Days

Very hot again today and I have been enjoying the sun in the garden.

2 Raven passed over early on.

Last evening (Tue) DJB popped down and we enjoyed a few beers and a good chin wag in the garden.

A Grey Heron flew past and a Greenfinch paid us a visit.

This morning Sue spotted a Curlew passing by as we were reading - too fast for me to get a photo.

Later we had a walk along the Thornton / Queensbury old railway line to the tunnel and back.

Plenty of the usual birds here included Whitethroat, Linnet, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Swallow and Chiffchaff.

A Buzzard called a few times but remined hidden by the trees.

c10 Swift zoomed quite low over the viaduct.

A pretty racing pigeon looks to have made a bid for freedom.

On this evening's stroll I manged to locate the 2 nearby Little Owl (Eventually).

A Lapwing landed near a shallow puddle in the horse field, not much else.

20:45 - Lapwing over the house.

Some photos (In reverse order):-
