Ringby Lane / Top and Howcans Bridleway

A roasty toasty outing after lunch today with a drive over to Swalesmoor.

A few birds about in the heat but no Raptors seen.

The usual stroll up Ringby Lane and over Ringby Top to cross the main road and have a look down Howcans bridleway to the 1st house before retracing my steps.

Some welcome breeze on the top but Howcans was very hot.

Birds:

House Martin.

c40 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Meadow Pipit, House Sparrow, Skylark.

7 Whitethroat singing throughout, but not a decent photo of any of 'em.

Linnet, Swallow, Dunnock, Wren, Blackbird.

Lots of Corvids.

Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Bullfinch(h).

Pied Wagtail was probably about all.

A Greenfinch watched over me in the garden earlier.

Some mostly poor Butterfly photos.
