A circuit of Ogden Water this afternoon, home via Crabtree Hall Farm path and local fields.
Another long gawp along the waters edge as I went along, for the Common Sandpiper, failed to locate it.
c80 Large Gulls included a few Herring Gulls.
c50 Black Headed Gull.
8 Cormorant.
A distant Duck species looks like a Female Tufted Duck with 3 young, but I could be wrong?
I sometimes struggle to identify myself whilst looking in the mirror!
2 frequently calling Buzzards were seen over the NW trees - probably Juvenile birds.
Another, very distant, calling (not seen) juvenile bird, a bit further along was possibly a Sparrowhawk.
Also heard (not seen) a Raven.
A few common species calling from the track side hedges / trees was about all for Ogden.
1 Swallow - very poor year locally for Swallow.
Kestrel, Mistle Thrush,
32 Canada Geese in the fields.
