Filey Days 1 and 2

We are just back from a few days holiday with Abi and her dad to Filey this week, a dry but often windy holiday.

Just time to sort out Monday and Tuesdays photos this evening.

Tomorrow I'll try and post some more photos.

I know  it's sad and disappointing and that you can hardly wait but .....

I've actually got some good ones (but not many) - albeit from a walk  to Filey Dams!

Hope to see you later - Granada John

Birds:-

Day 1:Monday.

A walk along the Brigg top path.

Dunlin on the little, nearly dry, Brigg pond (the pond  just before the top brigg path starts).

Kittiwake, Fulmar, Kestrel, 2 House Martin.

11 Common Scoter distant on the sea.

A Lark or Pipit that I'm not sure of.

Day 2: Tuesday.

Very, very windy after a wet morning - dried up nicely.

A walk along the Brigg top path.

1 Redshank and 2 Dunlin on the Brigg Pond.

Plenty of Linnet and Goldfinch zooming about.

Sand Martin, Swallow, Swift, Gannet.

3 separate sightings of Fulmar chicks on the cliffs - one chick per nest.

Under one nest was a discarded egg.

As I sat outside, reading, later, Swifts were passing through, non stop for probably an hour.

Day 2:

Video taken on a moving train - well just windy really.
