A late evening run out to Leeming Reservoir, nr Oxenhope to see if the Spotted Redshank was still up for grabs. The bird was first seen by B.V. (BOG).
A Wader was present that I though was a Greenshank with legs covered in mud.
I am beginning to think the bird is a Redshank but I am struggling, honestly.
There could in fact have been 2 Waders although I did not see 2 simultaneously.
Here are a few photos to see what you think.
I think Redshank is the final outcome, especially with the bird in flight showing the white in the wing pattern.
Its quite difficult for me with Waders out in the field - not much easier when I have a long look on the laptop either!!
Also about Grey Wagtail, 6 Tufted Duck.
