Ogden to Bradshaw

Sue dropped me at Ogden, mid-afternoon for a birding walk home.

A muggy day, and not trusting the weather, I was geared up for heavy rain that did not materialise. Just a few spits of rain during the Ogden circuit.

Ogden Water (still megs low) was quiet with just the usual Gull species, as far as I could make out, after spending some time sifting through the C200 birds.

A pr. Great Crested Grebe and a Cormorant also here.

The circuit trees bushes had a few birds contact calling - notable was a Goldcrest that I failed to get a photo of.

A Raven called from the north end and zoomed past high, seen through the trees.

A few moments later, 2 Raven called from the north end as they mobbed a Raptor.

These birds were also seen through the tree canopy, and were soon out of view,

Through the bins the Raptor looked like a Buzzard but the photo(s) is confusing.

The Raptor was quite large.

4 Swallow glimpsed through the tree canopy  as well was about it.

Home was through the farms and along the fields.

1 Little Owl, 2 Kestrel and a Sparrowhawk, on a distant fence post ,were seen.

A lone Common Gull was seen near home.
