Ogden to Bradshaw

After playing football this afternoon with Abi in Holmefield park (lots of berries about here), Sue dropped me at Ogden.

A breezy and often unpleasantly showery outing late afternoon, improved as I neared home.

The showers seemed to be confined to me!!! Elsewhere looked dry - Boo Hoo.

The mild weather, my heavy raincoat and earlier football extravaganza took it's revenge as I slowly grunted up to the top of Ned Hill Lane -  no energy left  for either Ned Hill Track or Soil Hill today.

The Ogden circuit was it's usual quiet self, with just a Nuthatch to brighten things a bit.

The usual Gulls here, but few - c100, with 9 Canada Geese making a change.

One Gull stood out, being very light in colour with quite a neat, very white head and unusual eye markings - it is probably a 1st cy Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Also a nice change was a Sparrowhawk over Ned Hill Lane top, being mobbed by a Crow.

But it moved very fast.

A Kestrel was resting on a wall below Ned Hill Track.

The usual Common Gulls along Percy Road.

Ogden distant smart Gull.
