A few lanes around Soyland

A good leisurely meander around a few of Soyland's lanes late morning and early afternoon.

Cool and breezy to start, brightening later on.

Some excellent berry trees and bushes hereabouts, looking radiant in the sunshine.

Birds:

c160 Woodpigeon feeding in one field.

Sporadic sightings of very skittish Redwing.

3 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

3 Fieldfare, high and distant.

Kestrel.

Nice to see a few Greenfinch and Chaffinch about.

A Little Owl was hiding on a wall,  along Blue Ball Lane, popped up to allow

a distant photo - new area for a Little Owl for me.

Pied Wagtail.

3 Stock Dove.

Coal Tit.

A few Black Headed, Common and Herring Gulls about.

A very large flock of goodness knows what!, high and way, way over to my west - looked interesting.

I'm guessing Woodpigeon with some white just visible in some of the plumage.

2 photos posted (one with auto contrast) which are probably useless in ID but...

A Buzzard was over Hightown (Nr. Heckmondwike) late afternoon.
