Ogden - Widgeon

A mid-afternoon run out to Ogden and it looked like I was going to get well

soaked with heavy rain greeting me as I left the house.

I did OK though with just spots of rain as I went around the circuit.

Going along the West side I managed to eyeball a distant Widgeon as It sailed sway east and then I lost sight if it.

DJB came over to have a look and the Widgeon was kind enough to appear near the feeding area for him ,  while he was close by on the Prom!

I, meanwhile continued around the circuit, eventually meeting DJB on the prom. The Widgeon by

this time has sailed off to a distant west side coastline!!

Still, this is a good bird for Ogden making my trip worthwhile and one photo is 'ok' given the distance and the light.

Other Birds:-

2 Goldcrest seen ... probably a lot more given the calls nearby.

3 Siskin, high, landed in the woods.

Long Tailed Tit.

Kingfisher.

A Buzzard was over Syke Lane, seen from the car on my way home.

A better outing than of late.

(A Kestrel was over Bradshaw Lane this a.m.).

Plus 2 poor photos taken out and about this morning.

First bird is probably a Crow, don't know about the 2nd bird?

My laptop is nagging me to install Windows 11 but I have resisted so far - I guess I'll have to bite

the bullet soon.

Ogden:-
