Sowerby Bridge to Mytholmeroyd - A wet do!

Some early Christmas shopping in sunny Bradford this morning (well it is November)!

and I just luv Christmas (not).

This afternoon I fared a bit better....

Sue's friend, has had a knee joint replacement operation and Sue went to visit her at Luddenden Knee , sorry Foot, this aft.

"On the way" she rewarded my earlier shopping talents by dropping me at Sowerby Bridge with the promise of picking me up some time later at Mytholmroyd.

I enjoyed a late afternoon stroll along the canal, well some if it was ok.

Just past Luddenden Knee the heavens opened and I had a very wet squelch for the rest of the outing.

I did not dry up very quick , but the birds did!!

Still my old skin still retains the Gortex it was born with.

Birds:-

3 Redwing, 7 Blackbird, 1 Cormorant.

Jay, Long Tailed Tits.

Chaffinch.

Pied Wagtail.

72 (5, 7, 12, 16, 32) Canada Geese.

I got a tad excited when I heard some 32 Geese airborne calling, I struggled to get the camera out of the wet pack - but I got a few poor photos in the end - I think they were all Canadas though and not the hoped for Pinkies.

5 Squirrels and a Fox.

It' seems a long, long time since I've had  a Calderdale tick
