A dreadful journey

We had to take Emma to Dewsbury Hospital this morning.

A serious accident had closed some of the M62 and tons of waggons were diverting through Sowerby Bridge stopping the job completely.

We got through by turning round and going down Washer Lane.

On our way to Dewsbury, Sue pulled some excellent rat runs out of her hat, and after a horrendous journey we arrived only 10 minutes late for Emma's appointment.

The return journey was just as bad with Brighouse to Sowerby Bridge taking over an hour instead of the usual 15 minutes.

Obviously no birding today but I did take a few poor photos along the way.

On a more positive note, the days will start to be slightly longer from 9.47 pm this evening.

Birds:-

Two separate Peregrine sightings and a Cormorant on a tall chimney (again) in Sowerby Bridge were of note.
