Soyland and Local Fields

We had a visit to Soyland this morning, where Abi was having some tuition on how to make a clay lizard from Sue's sister Ruth.

(Just to clarify the lizard was being made out of clay - not out of Ruth - too much blood involved otherwise).

While the artists were at work I sloped off to stroll around the very narrow local lanes hereabouts.
I had to be wary of the 4X4 's zooming about!
Some lovely views over the Cottonstones valley.

A bright, breezy, coolish outing.

Late afternoon I had a walk up the local fields where the weather remained dry but windy.

Birds:-

Soyland:
C15 Fieldfare.
C30 Redwing.
C50 Woodpigeon.
Black Headed Gull, Common Gull and Herring Gull in low numbers in the fields.
A Green Woodpecker called (unseen).
Rooks.

Local:
Little Owl.
2 Stock Dove.
Not much else.

A Cormorant, looked out of place, on a tall chimney in the centre of Sowerby Bridge.
