Pelllon Lane Area and Local Fields

Pellon Lane Area:

I had a couple of hours stroll around the Pellon Lane area this morning.

A mild, windy, very dark outing with drips of rain now and then.

Half way around I bumped into Elvis (PG) and we enjoyed a chinwag and found a short cut through the houses to do some dark tree scanning.

Pete was strapped for time and after a bit, he left me to it.

The hoped for Waxi never materialised but there were lots of Thrushes zooming about - mostly Redwing.

This afternoon, as the ladies were baking, I looked outside and ummed and ahhed as the rain hit the window and the wind whistled down the chimney.

Eventually I went out for just a short stroll up the local fields where some drizzle was pushed along by wind gusts approaching gale force!

Still, its good to be out and about,

Yesterday on a trip to Tesco (Shelf) filling station , 2 Herring Gulls were on the grass there.

We made it back home before the dangerous, ice rain  killed the job completely dead.

Birds:-

Pellon:

Redwing, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush, Starling, Fieldfare.

and a few other smaller types.

Local Fields:

Little Owl, 6 or so  Gulls over.
