Another poor wet and windy day where the only outing was to meet friends for a coffee at Kershaw's secret garden café.
No birding - the only birds of note were Lapwing in the trailer fields on the outskirts of Queensbury and a whole host of Gulls in the fields near the Raggalds Pub.
These birds were seen from the car on our way home from the café.
Unfortunately it was peeing it down at the time and we did not stop to inspect either sighting.
Anyway, the poor day had left we with lots of time to go through some more photos from earlier in the year,
Undoubtedly the highlight of my year was spotting a lifer in the shape of a Wood Sandpiper at Blackstone Edge Reservoir in August.
July 2022.
