Local Fields

An exercise walk along the Thornton-Queensbury cycle track early afternoon was a cold but bright-ish affair, with few birds seen. Just a Herring Gull of note.

A Kestrel was hunting near the Raggalds as we passed in the car.

Later on I had a very short walk along the local fields where some of the path is water logged with a stream suddenly appearing coming down from the hills onto the path.

It won't last long given the drier forecast for this week.

It was brighter today and the sun did pop out for a few moments later on the walk.

Birds:-

Kestrel (Raggalds).

Mistle Thrush.

2 Stock Dove.

18 Common Gull.

Heron.

Little Owl.

2 Pheasant.

I was hoping for an Owl species but I was probably out and about too early on?
