Another poor day with gale force winds and very heavy rain for most of it.
Late afternoon, the wind remained strong but the heavy rain changed to lighter drizzly stuff.
I risked a run over to Ogden.
As I drove along Syke Lane a sad, drenched Pheasant strolled slowly across in front of the car, wanting to be put out of its misery perhaps.
I did ok at Ogden, once the promenade was passed there was some good shelter from the weather along the west side path.
A good scan from the prom. before and after the circuit failed to find anything in the sluice area.
The 'resident' Kestrel was kind enough to make an appearance brightening up an otherwise dull affair.
The water held 4 Black Headed Gulls which I found remarkably easy to count.
A Raven called as it flew over, soon lost to the surrounding conifers.
More of the same weather tomorrow, hopefully not as bad as today though.
Things can only get better John !!
