Leeming and Ogden Reservoirs

Another very windy and often wet day today, with an even worse forecast tomorrow!!

I had a run out to check out Leeming Reservoir which is now full to overflowing.

Wet and windy here at the start but it did brighten up before I left.

I didn't see much here and soon decided to abandon it and try Ogden instead, where, you guessed it , I didn't see much either.

CS was again doing  the rounds,  on his sleigh-mobile, moving Christmas Trees about.

Birds:-

Leeming:

c50 Gulls included Herring Gull, Common Gull and Black Headed Gull.

(The birds were distant and the water choppy with glare so the visibility and photos were poor).

4 Tufted Duck, 22 Mallard and a Kestrel.

Ogden Water:

Tough going to find owt!

Windy but dry for most of my hour and a half or so  - very wet and dark as I arrived home.

C40 Small Gulls at one point.

A Herring Gull overhead.

c90 Mallard.

Robin, 7 Goldfinch, Goldcrest, Blue Tit, Great Tit and Coal Tit.

Top of the shop was a Kestrel noshing a couple of big juicy worrrrrms. Yum Yum.
