We took Abi to Ilkley for the day today, one of her favourite places.
Very pleasant early on and a bit of drizzly stuff mid-afternoon didn't spoil our pebble throwing contest along the river wharf.
When we first arrived I opted for a couple of hours birding while the ladies had a look around the shops.
Amazing how time flies my 2 hours seemed to be used up in 30 minutes.
One shock today, was the price to enter the new public toilets down by the Riverside Inn - 40p for a p!
It will soon be cheaper to call at Wetherspoons for a re-fillable coffee and use their toilets.
Shoveler:
While I was away a great find of a Shoveler Duck reported by DJS at Ogden.
Perhaps I should go off more often!
(I've never had a Calderdale Shoveler - which was a surprize when I checked my records.
Maybe it will stay a while, hope so because I can't get to Ogden until after tomorrow morning!)
Birds:-
Not bad for a winter's outing.
