We had a visit to Bingley St. Ives late morning for a walk with friends.
Afterwards we had a late lunch in Wetherspoons, Bingley.
Sue dropped me at Ogden on our way home so I could enjoy some birding time.
Not much happening at St. Ives, although it was not a birding outing.
Not much happening at Ogden either with a brisk cold wind here.
Approaching the top (north) end of the water, and after a chance gorpe over the fence / xmas tree hedge, I noticed an ungainly white duck hidden by trees, with 2 Mallard.
The ungainly Duck flushed and morphed into a Little Egret once I could see it properly.
I got a few poor photos as it flew west low over the water before leaving north.
A scarce bird for Ogden, so I was quiet pleased to see it.
Birds:-
Little Egret.
c20 Black Headed, 1 Common and c12 Herring Gulls at one point.
(Gulls coming and going throughout the walk, mostly seen at distance in poor light).
2 Raven.
Stock Dove.
2 Little Owl.
Not a bad do!!
St Ives:-
A very nice find with a L E John.
