Shelf Woods / Local Fields

It felt a little colder today with the wind picking up speed late afternoon.

After lunch we had a short exercise walk around Shelf woods and later I had a short birding walk up the local fields.

After yesterday's excitement with the Waxi's twitch, today was a damp squib!

Birds:-

Shelf Park:

Singing Song Thrush.

3 Nuthatch.

Goldcrests and plenty of Tit sp.

(A photo taken from the car as we passed, revealed c22 Lapwing  in the Shelf trailer field, possibly more below the wall).

Bradshaw:

2 Little Owl.

2 Kestrel.

Garden:

2 Buzzard.
