Ogden to Bradshaw

My birding walk today was around Ogden Water and home via Syke Lane, Crabtree Hall Farm and local fields.

A dull, damp affair with nuisance light rain for a lot of the time.

Earlier we saw a few Redwing near the chippy on Saville Park.

Birds:-

Ogden:

Pretty quiet here - we must be due a Med. Gull any day now!!

A Great Crested Grebe that was in the distant north end moved to the centre of the water.

c20 Small Gulls at one point.

1 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

4 Canada Geese.

Treecreeper.

Not much happening along the circuit.

A Bullfinch was in the bushes behind the reservoir house as I went west along the prom.

Ogden to Home:

Pied Wagtail.

4 Stock Dove.

Stonechat - always a pleasure to see.

2 Little Owl on adjacent fence posts.

A Tawny Owl has been calling outside our house for the last 3 nights.

(I've told it that I can't play out  after 11 pm.).
