Bradshaw Fields

Walk:

I just had a 30 minute walk up the local fields this afternoon.

Very windy but mild.

The chances of flooding lower down in Halifax look pretty high with most of the massive amount of snow nearly all gone.

Part of my path was a stream.

Garden:

Not much happening in an hours sky watch early on.

A potential Raptor was picked up as a small dot in the bins, east of me, and I watched in for a good while as it went south west to eventually drop pretty quickly out of sight.

A few moments later a small flock of Common Gulls were suddenly airborne in that general area..

Yesterdays snow shovelling, playing with Abi in the garden and later "Dodge (snow) Ball" with her, has given my hip some right old grief.

It ain't a happy bunny at all.

I think it's time to start, cutting up plug baccy with a penknife, stuffing it in a pipe, setting fire to it, wearing Val Doonican jumpers and rocking away in a rocking chair with me feet in the Aga oven fuelled by turf -  (like me grandad did).

I could probably sit there in the chair singing "Walk Tall" although that might be a bit of a misnomer where I'm concerned.

Birds:-

1 Black Headed Gull.

4 Common Gull.

1 Kestrel.

1 Little Owl.

Little Owl:

The Little Owl photo looks like I'm stood on top of the bird but actually I'm quite a bit away - it's all zoom.

It was on a garden wall today.

It watched me like a "Hawk" as I walked along the path and it will move to a more distant wall if it's unhappy with my presence!!.
