Brookfoot Ski-Lake

A real grot bag of a day today, heavy rain and a strong wind , but it was cleaning day so I was glad it wasn't sunny!!

Mid-afternoon we had to visit Brighouse and I took a very quick look at the Brookfoot Ski-lake, while Sue waited nice and dry, in the car.

Not stopping long, I just took a few photos before legging it back along the canal to the car,

Not a lot on the water, most birds were on the distant bank.

Birds:

Canada Goose.

Cormorant.

Mute Swan.

Herring Gull.

Lesser Black-headed Gull.

Black Headed Gull.

Common Gull.

Heron.

Coot.

Moorhen.

3 Goldeneye (2m including a 1st winter, 1f).

A bit awkward looking through the railing in heavy rain, so there could have been others!!!
