We had to visit Huddersfield today and we called at Black Moor Foot Reservoir "on the way home" which was very full, and very quite.
Later, I had my "usual" birding walk from Elland Bridge to Brookfoot and it was a pretty wet affair.
A really dull day, where it difficult to get any decent photos.
Always something to keep your interest alive along this walk.
I had a loiter at the Lagoon seat and also the viewing platform, where 2 Little Grebe came out to play.
It was rewarding to see that the Whoopers were still on the ski-lake, although the railings are quite an obstruction!
Birds:-
1 Swallow. 2 Little Grebe.
13 Whooper Swan, 2 Tufted Duck.
Dipper, Grey Wagtail.
5 Goosander, 2 Heron.
Pheasant, 3 Moorhen.
1 Drake Teal.
Herring Gull, Black Headed Gull.
Pr. Goldeneye.
Singing Chiffchaffs.
c10 Cormorants.
Coot.
and quite a few others.
I took a few random photos (as I usually do) and something has turned up (or not) ....
A "White Winged Gull - or not" - probably a trick of the light or camera movement on a really poor photo through the railings - take a look!! Either way I can't ID it!!

Just one Gull miles off on the water - I think it's a Herring Gull but it looks too pretty for Herring ? and too big for a Common?
