Ogden to Bradshaw and Coach Rd, Lightcliffe

Another wet and very windy morning as we waited for Abi to finish her beauty sleep (seems to be working!).

Mid-afternoon sue took Abi to the hairdressers and I scrounged a lift to Ogden to enjoy a walk home.

Late afternoon we took Abi back to Heckmondwike and I went as far as Coach Road where I had 30 minutes (in the sun!!!) or so before being picked up again on the return journey home.

All this petrol money I'm saving will probably buy me a pint at the Raggalds.

Birds:-

Ogden - Bradshaw:

Very, very quiet - not one Gull on the water - just Mallard seen.

The circuit was dead as well.

An Oystercatcher > W calling remained unseen because of trees.

Chiffchaff (heard). Greenfinch and a few others.

Going through the farms area a small bird with a white 'front' disappeared into distant gorse.

I hung about for a good while but did not pick it out again.

Bradshaw fields had 2 Little Owl , 1 Wheatear (distant) and not much else.

Coach Road:

Nice and sunny but dropping cold approaching 6pm.

Blackbird and Song Thrush belting out songs.

2 Blackbirds having fisticuffs.

Nuthatch (heard).

Nothing much else to speak of.....

My 1st Bee of 2023.

One of those......
