Bradshaw / White Windows / Brookfoot Ski Lake

A busy day to day with Abi and Emma to entertain.
I had a short walk up the local fields this morning, quite dull, and after a late lunch at Wetherspoons at Sowerby Bridge I had a gorpe at White Windows Garden as we dropped Emma off.
On our way to drop Abi off at Heckmondwike , Sue dropped me at Brookfoot Ski-lake to  pick me up on the way back, to check for the reported Widgeon pair (MH).
A search for the Widgeon, through the railings, failed to find them.
After a bit of cajoling I extended my birding pass to an hour or so and after some excellent directions from AC trudged around to the Casa restaurant to check the lake from the other side.
I ordered a coffee (free of charge??) and stood on the lower, outside dining area, listening to a loud wedding disco, supping coffee and scanning the lake for Ducks - a tad bizarre.
I did locate the Widgeon pair, very distant blending in with the water - my photos alas are not a patch on Micks!!
