A grim day in Bradshaw with very poor visibility this morning and heavy drizzle thought-out - YUK.
I left the murk behind and had a run down to Brighouse to take a look around the Brookfoot Nature Reserve area.
Brookfoot LNR:
DJS was just leaving and he had , had, very impressive hirundine sightings of Swallow and Sand Martin.
AC had also had an impressive count earlier, too.
Most of the birds had left , when I arrived, and those that remained stayed stubbornly very high in the gloom with none seen low over the Ski-lake.
I managed to take some "really awful" photographs of the high flyers ,in the gloom, and I have posted a few in case there is a House Martin in among - (the photos not being good enough for me to ID House Martin from these silhouettes).
It was pleasing to hear Chiffchaff singing at every corner.
Back at base and the drizzle and gunge continues....
Bradshaw Fields:
The weather improved late afternoon and I enjoyed a short walk up the local fields.
Just some light drizzle to contend with, but it soon packed in.
The sky brightened slightly as well which was a bonus today,
The misty stuff is returning at the moment though.
Abi starts her 2 weeks Easter Holiday today so she'll be letting me know what is required of me - no doubt!
