Brookfoot LNR

A run down to Brighouse this morning for a look at Brookfoot LNR.

A cold morning in Bradshaw with three degrees on the car, but no Dianna Ross on the radio.

It was good to chat to JM in the car park.

The Ski Lake had a good numbers of Sand and House Martins flying low over the water - with the odd Swallow (as far as I could make out) hard to say how many birds - they whizz along and are soon out of sight.

The railings are bit of a hinderance.

Another grotty cold afternoon.

Birds:

Great to hear loads of bird song here this morning.

Chiffchaffs "All over the shop".

3 Blackcap.

Little Grebe calling from the lagoon.

2 Willow Warblers - singing (at least 2).

Bullfinch.

A few Swallow with good numbers of Sand Martins and House Martins.

Green Woodpecker calling from Brookfoot woods.

3 Grey Wagtail, chasing about.

A Song Thrush in great voice.

Mallard, Herons, Moorhens and Coots.

Plus other sp.

An enjoyable couple of hours.
