Ogden to home a bit of a disaster

I'm thinking of joining the Met Office with my weather prediction today I'd fit right in.
I watched the forecast and decided the big band of rain was moving north of me.
Sue was going to visit and old friend at Elland at One (ish) so I scrounged a lift to Ogden to enjoy a birding outing.

The heavens opened as soon as I got out of the car and it absolutely bounced it down for a good hour, by which time I'd done a circuit of Ogden and reached Crabtree Hall Farm, on my way home.

The rain stopped as soon as I got in how convenient.

Camera:

It would appear that the rain has dealt me a few blows, apart from being drenched and  my brand new boots having sprung a leak.
The  "ok" button on my camera refuses to work.
Pretty fatal - the "ok" button not working  -it's now the "not ok" button.
I'll leave the camera to dry and hopefully all will resolve itself by tomorrow.

Birds:-

I was happy to seen anything today.

Pheasant.
Chiffchaff singing.
2 Canada Goose.
Mallard.
2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls over.

A few Goldcrest - one with very bright streak of yellow / orange crown but I failed to get a photo in focus as it poured down and also failed to see it clearly in the bins - so a Goldcrest it remains!

2 Little Owl in the usual spots.

Abi with us this week so I'll see how my birding outings progress.
