Local Stuff Mostly

Emma and Abi to entertain all day today.

A better sky with some light clouds making a late garden watch a tad more

interesting with 2 House Martin passing by (unusual for me to see House Martin here).

The usual 3 or so Swallow and a Swift (another scarce sighting for me).

A few Lesser Black-backed Gulls was about all.

Earlier while Emma was having a fitting for her new glasses in Halifax i had a quick

traipse through the Piece Hall but didn't eyeball much,

A Raptor  > east was being mobbed by a crow as we passed the railway station on our way to Sowerby Bridge. I got a rubbish picture taken form the car

Last evening, 9.30 ish,  the temperature was great for sitting out late in the garden

with a couple of Aldi Galahad tinnies - nice.

Some good birds did pass by as well.

9 (2+7) Mistle Thrush, 2 Swift a late sighting of a Buzzard

This evening I had the usual short saunter up the local fields where the Little Owl

put in an appearance with just 3 Swallow and a Meadow Pipit seen.

Adult Cuckoos on their way 'home' apparently and no sighting locally for me this year.

Might get a Juv. yet though.

Mega distant Raptor seen near Halifax Railway Stn.
