It's turning into Groundhog week with the hot weather sticking around.
Not much incentive to dons my boots and go for a long walk, easier to sit in the garden
and read / sky watch instead (after the shopping obviously).
I did have my usual saunter up the local fields after tea, when it was still very warm
Birds:
2 Buzzards seen today, both accompanied by Mr. Crow.
A few more large Gulls moving about.
The local saunter was very quiet.
A Pheasant, 2 Meadow Pipit and, for a change, a Mistle Thrush plus a few others sp.
A Partridge species flushed from the horse field, flew low on 'silent' wings.
Looked very short in the body, perhaps a juv.
(Did not get it's mugshot).
