Home to Soil Hill and Back

I thought I'd give Soil Hill a look at this evening. It was probably too windy to expect much but after being stuck in the car for most of the morning, ferrying Emma to the dentist and back I needed some exercise.

It was a sunny outing but quite cold in the stiff breeze especially along Ned Hill Track.

Nothing much to write home about but I did get my 1st returning Common Gull of the summer.

Birds:

(2 Swift over the house late yesterday evening).

2 Swallow, 2 Greenfinch, House Sparrow, Goldfinch, 3 Pheasant.

Mistle Thrush, 1 Whitethroat in the bush just before Taylor Lane sang and flew off still singing.

1 Whitethroat calling Soil Hill Top.

1 Common Gull.

3 Meadow Pipit, 20 Woodpigeon, 5 Carrion Crow.

Blackbird, 2 Skylark, 12 Magpie, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

Stock Dove.

2 Peregrine Falcon elsewhere.

The expanding recycling plant Swalesmoor.
