A bit of a hike on a very pleasant day, First I dropped my car for for its MOT at Queensbury.
From here I walked past the Raggalds, up Percy Rd , down Ned Hill Lane to Ogden.
Just a quick glance at Ogden Water before heading along the path towards the golf clubhouse and along Carrs beck and along the good track behind the maintenance buildings before a left over some boggy stuff to hunt for the Redstarts reported by NK / DP recently.
An hour passed as I walked up and down the hedge line without seeing a single bird!
I had an early snack , sat on a wall in the sunshine , very relaxing and then a Willow Warbler appeared along the top hedge.
Some further perseverance , walking back down the field, paid off with 2 birds very, very flighty a Willow Warbler and a second bird.
I did get a very short view of a Male Redstart through the bins but even though I took c30 or so photographs I failed to get a decent shot of it.
