Garden and Local Fields

Very misty this morning, but it cleared nicely to hot sunshine later with some fair weather clouds.

I enjoyed a couple of strolls up the local fields one a.m and one this afternoon.

This morning c20 Mistle Thrush flew east and another 20 or so were seen on my morning walk.

A Wagtail species over the garden with a 2 note call beep, beep-beep. beep, beep-beep.

No problem recognising this bird with such a complete description then?

A Kestrel and A Buzzard were also seen.

A Green Woodpecker called loudly as it flew west over the house.

Pity I'd finished my sky watch and was just going to recycle something when it passed!

2 small Raptors very high > E had a short disagreement - no idea what they were.

The afternoon walk was pleasantly warm with nothing special about:-

Green Woodpecker called from Crabtree Hall Farm area.

The usual Little Owl, Linnets and Swallows etc.

A Chiffchaff proved difficult to photograph.

c20 Common Gulls and a few Black Headed Gull....

A second Kestrel was seen later, from the garden.

A short burst of excitement when a "skyful" of Gulls appeared high above me. They were wheeling in circles catching insects presumably as they sloped off SSW.

A Sparrowhawk was circling above for a good few minutes, late afternoon, which was nice to watch.

5 Mistle Thrush were on a nearby pylon as darkness approached at 19:50.

Mistle Thrush way off and a ????
